Standard 2: Digital Age Learning Culture
Standard 2: Digital Age Learning Culture, addresses the need for administrators to teachers and students a digital-age learning culture. More specifically, leaders of the school must maximize the use of digital learning for their teachers, so that teachers become more confident in creating a digital learning culture for their students. Digital resources must be integrated into instruction regularly and must be modified to meet the needs of individual learners, in essence, teachers must differentiate their technological learning atmosphere, as readily as they differentiate for their typical classroom atmosphere. Another facet to having an effective digital age learning community is to ensure that digital learning is integrated throughout the curriculum in each of the classrooms. In order to maintain a digital age learning culture, district leaders, administration, and teachers must maintain active roles in digital age learning communities that include, but are not limited to, local, national or global communities. These communities should promote innovation and collaboration among the members.
