Kahoot
Kahoot is an awesome way to engage students in practicing content. My students love the competitive atmosphere and really get into being on the top of the leader board. I often use Kahoot to review, but sometimes use it to practice new material. Sometimes seeing the lesson in a new format helps students to reengage with the content. At the end of the year, Kahoot comes in handy to keep kids interested in the test prep review phase. Another primary role of Kahoot in my classroom is student driven practice. I recently asked my kid what they wanted as MAP growth reward, and one of the classes asked if they could make their own math Kahoot during Gator Time and play them during class. THAT is a win/win and bringing learning to the students. Getting the students involved in the creation of the lesson, makes them that much more engaged in the lesson.
