EdPuzzle
EdPuzzle is great for the blended learning model. It promotes small group instruction, by giving kids an introduction to the material before getting to the small group teacher station. Students starting in the teacher station, get exposed to a new approach, or get to practice with guidance when they get to the EdPuzzle station. Teachers are able to edit videos, provide their own voice overs (although I think hearing it in a new voice is helpful to some students), and add quizzes within the video. Students enjoy EdPuzzle because they can re-watch sections of the video several times before answering a quiz question and moving on. Other parts of the video, they only have to watch once. This makes students feel like they have control over their learning, and the video doesn't go too fast. I use Khan Academy in my classroom to help students practice skills. Using those videos in EdPuzzle, and asking students to answer questions throughout, is a great way to tie in all parts of the lesson and bring it full circle.
